Why it matters

What this protects

Every connector gives an AI tool a key to an app: email, drives, CRM, accounting. Connected one at a time by each person, nobody knows what can reach what.

A connection layer gives your agents one pipe to your apps and lets you manage access per app and per employee. Composio connects to more than 1,500 apps and learns how you work; Zapier does similar work with more manual setup. JP runs every app through Composio daily, and the first 100,000 actions a month are free.

Game plan

Do it in 5 steps

  1. List what is connected to each AI tool today, and who connected it.
  2. Remove what nobody uses, and make the rest read-only where you can.
  3. Choose one connection layer for the company, such as Composio or Zapier.
  4. Route every new connection through it, with a named owner.
  5. Review the list at each monthly task force meeting.

Prompts

Copy and use

Replace the [bracketed] parts. Each prompt keeps you in control: nothing is sent, deleted or shared without your approval.

Inventory your connections

Inside each AI tool you use.

List every app and account connected to my AI tools. For each one, tell me what it can read, what it can change, when it was last used, and whether I still need it.

Recommend which to remove and which to make read-only. Don't change anything yourself.
