Over the last couple decades, JPJames has seen the incredible success of the TI:GER, Technology Innovation: Generating Economic Results (TI:GER), program housed in the College of Management at Georgia Tech. This program combines PhD computing, scientists and engineers with MBA students. The program used to be partnered with Emory's law school to bring in that third dimension. Unfortunately that partnership no longer exists. It looks like the program still exists at Emory, TI:GER® Program | Emory University School of Law | Atlanta, GA.

Currently Jonathan Giuliano is the Executive and Academic Director of the program. JP James originally met Jonathan originally through Creative Destruction Lab when it was partnered with Georgia Tech. JP was a mentor with that program for 3 years where we coached and mentored dozens of companies through their early life cycle.

Having lectured at Georgia Tech pretty consistently since 2006, almost 20 years, JP has been able to not only impart pragmatic wisdom of building several companies, but has been able to hire an incredible number of students from several programs at Georgia Tech. It was exciting for him to get the opportunity to go back and teach these lessons to his class over the past couple years.

It is critical to impart the practical reality of starting and scaling companies to the students, but with the audience being half PhDs and the other half MBA students, he could go a lot more technical. JP focused on how to build technology applications that could be commercialized and how to think about the mental fortitude required to deal with the volatility of a fast growth venture. From topics of entrepreneurship, global economics, agent based modeling, large language models and the thread to future jobs, the future of software development and analytics with the rise of AI, it was a great discussion about the future of humanity.
